Architecton

This project is a representation of just the concept of design alone, it’s a project without a function to do. The ARCHITECTON was one of my favorite projects to work on because it allowed me to think about design beyond the ordinary designing process in architecture, and to open my mind to more creativity without the limitation of technicality. It’s created through a process of operations and aggregation methods that could be repeated endlessly to achieve

the final form. The project starts with a simple box and after a process of experimenting with different operations on the original box, I was able to design one complex unit. Then, after applying different aggregation methods I was able to achieve the final design of the ACHITECTON. 

Minimalism is a style or technique (as in music, literature, or design) that is characterized by extreme simplicity. The concept of minimalist architecture is to strip everything down to it's essential qualities in order to achieve simplicity, purity, and beau- ty. So, I started the ARCHITECTON design process with a simple box, then I started experimenting with different operations until I achieved designing one piece of simple yet complex architecture
without a function. Then, I applied some aggregation methods to accomplish even a more complex design with just simple changes as shown in the following pages. The final product of the ARCHITECTON was minimal in the design process and complex in the final stage of the design.
